Youtube Functionality

Now you can connect your Youtube account to your Fireviews account so that all your comments on Fireviews show up right on your Youtube videos. If you like a video it will also register as a 'Like' on Youtube, and soon you will have the option of subscribing each video, and more youtube features.

Even more changes to Fireviews

We've been working on a lot of things lately. The front page is simpler and easier to navigate, and new users will get helpful messages between viewing profiles that explain how to get the most benefit from Fireviews. We also may be slashing premium account prices in the near future, and increasing the amount of benefit for each upgrade, including the ability to earn more than 2 views per view.

Changes to commenting on profiles

Some improvements are being made to the commenting functionality. More info to come. These improvements will enhance the visibility of each profile (increasing the likelihood of it being discovered/becoming popular) as well as improve the quality of each view on Fireviews.

Premium Accounts

Today Fireviews is introducing two new account types, plus a restructuring of the free account. New users will now only earn one view for every profile they view, instead of one for each view. The reason for this is that many active profiles were not getting viewed quickly enough. They would sit with a handful of remaining views and not get the rest of their views. This way, there will be enough room for everyone to get viewed more quickly and efficiently. It is still a very good way for users to earn views for free. However, if any users are impatient and want to earn a lot more views a lot faster, there is now an option to upgrade their account so that they can earn 1 view for every view, or even 2 views for every view. These upgrades will be priced affordably and according to the length of the subscription (1 month to a year, with increasing discounts for longer periods).

Change to the way Fireviews gives priority to profiles

When viewing profiles, users are usually taken from one to the next after they rate and comment on each one. We've changed the priority each profile gets so that profiles with the most remaining views will get top priority. So if you want your profile to start getting viewed faster and sooner, earn more views for it. The speed of your view fulfillment may slow down as you run out of views, but you will still be able to use up every last view eventually. This will be a big improvement in the efficiency of the site.

Some minor appearance improvements

We've been working on some minor aesthetic improvements around the site. The main thing to note is the improvements on the profile management page, where you add views and edit or delete profiles. More improvements are still coming to that page and other pages.

We have some great new things in the pipeline, so expect more news on these in the near future. One thing which you may see very soon is premium accounts, which come with some great benefits to the user. Stay tuned for more info.

Fireviews now supports Vimeo videos

In addition to helping Youtubers launch their careers, we have added support for Vimeo videos so that Vimeo's incredibly artistic and creative community can share their creations on Fireviews as well. Fireviews is excited to help Vimeo artists get discovered and get feedback on their films.

Preparing to release several new features and improvements on Fireviews, Pre-launch promotion

We are nearing completion of several new features and improvements which will be released in the coming days and weeks. More information to come regarding that.

Also of note, we are currently running a promotion for all existing Fireviews members. We will be preparing to officially launch Fireviews after this wave of site improvements is complete. Fireviews is still in beta, and many features may still be changed before we launch. All users who sign up for an account before our official launch date (TBA) will be given free views on the date of the launch. More info will be available on Fireviews.com.

We are currently looking for new beta testers.

The Fireviews community is growing every day, and it's ready to grow even faster! The users and their amazing, wonderful content is what makes Fireviews work so well. One of our largest obstacles during this beta testing phase is that once a Fireviewer earns views, the views come in very slowly. This is simply because the community is still fairly small. We have anticipated this problem, and have designed the site to work much more quickly and efficiently (immediate gratification for users) once the community grows. In fact, the more people who use the site, the faster it will work. It will eventually (and very feasibly) reach a point where there are enough users online at any given moment that views and feedback will be received almost instantly. This will provide a much more exciting and addictive experience for each user, but it can only be achieved with more users! So if you can help us grow the Fireviews community, let us know. We are poised and ready for growth.

Fireviews is in Beta

Fireviews is still growing, changing, and being polished. Features have yet to be added, and other features may be changed and removed before the site launches officially. We have a clear vision for the future of Fireviews, and using Fireviews will be a truly amazing and revolutionary experience by the time we launch. The purpose of this blog is to keep you updated on any changes to Fireviews' development status.
